MEDIA INDIA, the only global media house focused on India, was founded in Paris in April 2004 with a very simple objective – to promote India as a business, tourism and cultural destination. It would achieve its objective through magazines and other sources of information that would create awareness about the rapid advances that India is making in various sectors of the economy as well as showcasing Indian tourism around the world.

Media India started modestly with one magazine, INDES, in French and distributed essentially in the four EU countries - France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg where French is spoken. Today, it publishes three magazines, Destino La India in Spanish and India & You in English - distributed in over 45 countries across the world. Destino La India and INDES are the only magazines devoted to India anywhere in the French or Spanish speaking countries of the world.

Over the four years, Media India has developed an range of institutional, governmental and corporate partnerships and it is today a very well established and preferred institutional partner for all kinds of India-focused activities taking place around the world.

Media India is managed by Ranvir Singh Nayar, an Indian journalist who has over two decades of professional experience in various global media houses including CNBC, BBC, Ananda Bazar Patrika, Bennett Coleman and Indo-Asian News Service. He has spent nearly half his professional life in India and the rest outside India giving him a unique understanding of not only India and the rest of the world, but also how the two can converge.

He is actively, enthusiastically and efficiently supported by a very young and dynamic Team Media India, located in offices in Paris, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Lucknow.
